Our toddler class, provides a wonderful introduction to Montessori for children ages 18 months to 3 years, led by two certified Montessori educators.

Toddlers are dropped off between 8:15 and 8:45 each day and are welcomed into a classroom filled with a variety of stimulating, hands-on materials designed to promote concentration, coordination, order and independence. During group time, our toddler teachers facilitate music, movement, and in-house Spanish instruction. The children eat snack as a group.

After a morning full of engaging activities and outdoor play, the toddlers eat lunch, and end their day with a quiet rest time. Toddler pick-up is between 2:35-2:45. Snack and lunch are brought from home.

Children also have the option to enroll in our before-care and after-care programs. Children in before-care can be dropped off between 7:30 and 8:15. Children in after-care can be picked up between 2:45 and 5:30.

Our primary class provides a comprehensive, authentic Montessori experience for children ages 3-6 years, led by two certified Montessori educators.

Primary children are dropped off between 8:00 and 8:30, and start the morning with playground time. Upon entering the classroom, they are quickly drawn to a variety of stimulating, hands-on materials designed to promote concentration, coordination, order and independence. The primary classroom is organized by specific Montessori curriculum areas-- practical life, sensorial, language, math, science, art, geography and culture.

Each day, our primary teachers facilitate music, movement, and in-house Spanish instruction.  Group lessons are provided daily, and individual lessons are given organically throughout the work cycle. At the beginning of the year, the children eat snack together as a group; when the class has begun to normalize, we shift to individual snack, where the children choose when to eat during the morning work cycle.

After a morning full of engaging activities and outdoor play, the children eat lunch and have 30 minutes of quiet rest time. Children still requiring a nap will continue to rest, while non-nappers enjoy additional outdoor play as well as an additional work cycle. Primary pick-up is between 2:45-3:00. Snack and lunch are brought from home.

Children also have the option to enroll in our before-care and after-care programs. Children in before-care can be dropped off between 7:30 and 8:00. Children in after-care can be picked up between 3:00 and 5:30.

Kindergarten

It All Comes Together!

IMG_8580_edited.jpg

The capstone year of the 3-year cycle in the primary class, is the highly anticipated Kindergarten year, where everything truly comes together.  By this time, children have spent two years discovering and exploring a rich variety of materials and concepts; Kindergarten is where they master what they have only just begun to learn.

By the end of the Montessori kindergarten year, it is not uncommon for children to be reading and doing complex math operations. They might be bringing home creative writing stories or booklets filled with math facts. This doesn’t just happen simply because they are in kindergarten. It happens because two years of work has come before it.

Our Kindergarten program provides new challenges, deeper learning, and a sense of completion and fulfillment, as it focuses on progress toward academic mastery, self-confidence and leadership.
