What is Montessori?
Maria Montessori (1870-1952) was the first woman in Italy to qualify as a physician.

She developed the principle that was also to inform her general educational program: first the education of the senses, then the education of the intellect. More at www.montessori.org.

The purpose of the school is to provide a creative, social, educational, and most importantly, an enjoyable experience for your child. S/he will be able to associate with other children and responsive adults in an environment specifically tailored to the needs of young children. Your child will enjoy a variety of individual and group activities through interaction with other children and adults as well as through play with various manipulatives and toys.

We offer both an English as well as a Spanish Language Immersion Program. At Children's Garden we believe very strongly that young children learn through talking and playing with peers in an environment that supports their efforts at socialization. We consider that all of their time with us is a valuable learning experience and we structure our activities centered on their needs.

Our classrooms have many developmentally appropriate educational materials as well as games and picture books to help young children learn. Themes are planned monthly with special activities through which children glean concepts of time, distance, and learn about health and care of the environment. Academics are introduced to the children through games and stories.

Please e-mail us to schedule an appointment to visit the school.
