Q.
May I have a friend or family member pick up my child in the event I
can't make it?
A. Plan ahead for this situation by assigning friends or family
members as people who have been designated by you to pick up your child.
For security purposes, we will ask you to provide the person's name,
telephone numbers, and a copy of his or her driver's license for proper
identification.
Q.
Will my English-speaking child be traumatized if I place her in Spanish
Immersion?
A. No. Although the child is likely to feel disoriented for the first
few weeks, he or she will quickly adjust and pick up Spanish as a comfortable
second language. Remember that the Spanish language is only spoken in
the mornings, so your child will be back to English by lunchtime. If
at any time your child is upset or undergoing stress, the teachers will
speak to him or her in English to soothe him or her.
Q.
How can I find out what my child is eating on a daily basis?
A. We provide a monthly menu for prents' reference. Please request a
copy from one of the teachers when you next pick up your child.
Q.
When will I have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with my child's teacher?
A. We have a curriculum night for parents at the start of the school
year. Also, we schedule one-on-one parent-teacher meetings during the
month of November.
